Medicine & Masculinity
Men’s Retreat
Men have always gathered together.
At least, until recently.
So many of us lose track of our deep Self in the hustle of everyday life. We forget that we don’t have to do it all by ourselves. And we falsely believe that we are isolated in our struggles, fears, and desires. Men’s work helps to break this spell, and can provide a much-needed container where we can gather strength and cultivate vision.
Drawing on the tradition of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, and the “mythopoetic men’s movement,” we will delve into the realm of myth, poetry, and the lived experiences of each man present as a gateway into the masculine psyche.
We will ceremonially gather for an in-person retreat in Spring. Details TBD. Sign up below to be included on retreat announcements.
Ask Yourself:
How might your life evolve if you had a supportive, positive community of men to connect with regularly?
What does healthy masculinity look like in the 21st century?
What stories about “being a man” might need to die, and what stories might need to be healed, resurrected, or reimagined?
What can myth teach us about masculinity?
What role can psychedelics and plant medicine play in helping develop healthy masculinity?
Who can you turn to for reliable guidance and reflection?
What would it feel like to ceremonially gather with a group of men you know and trust?
